Site Care

A site nobody looks after gets slower, older and less trusted every month, and none of it happens loudly enough to notice until something breaks.

Three levels of cover

Care

The site is stable and you mostly need it kept that way.

  • Hosting, SSL, backups and security patching
  • Uptime monitoring
  • Self-service content edits, unlimited

Standard

The site changes often enough that you want a person on it.

  • Everything in Care
  • A human queue for change requests
  • A monthly allowance of studio hours
  • Unused hours roll forward once, at half — not indefinitely

Priority

The site is a main channel and downtime costs real money.

  • Everything in Standard
  • Guaranteed response window
  • A larger monthly allowance of studio hours
  • Quarterly SEO and performance report

Which tier a project belongs in is a judgement about scope, not a menu choice — and it is usually clear within one conversation. We would rather place you correctly than sell you upward.

Common questions

Do I have to have built with you?

No, but we look first. Taking over a site built on foundations we would not have chosen is possible; taking it over without saying what we found is not, so expect an honest note before we quote.

What counts against my monthly hours?

Anything that needs a person: layout changes, new sections, integrations, debugging. Hosting, patching, backups and monitoring are the plan itself and never come out of the allowance.

What if I need more hours than the plan?

You buy them at an hourly rate, billed in half-hour minimums. We do not run a complicated system of which pool gets drawn down first — used is used.

Can I cancel?

Yes, monthly. The site is yours; we hand over what we hold and help you move it. A retainer that has to be escaped is not a retainer worth having.
